About Business Unusual (and the person behind it)

I work at the intersection of meaningful work, human technology, and personal reinvention.

My background spans systems thinking, coaching, and working with AI—but what matters most is how I show up now:
with clarity, care, and the ability to name what’s getting in the way of your momentum.

What I Actually Do

I help experienced professionals, founders, and AI-curious creators:

  • Reconnect with the part of themselves that still wants to grow

  • Use AI as a relational partner, not just a tool

  • Move from analysis paralysis into clear, grounded experimentation

  • Create new offerings, practices, or projects that feel coherent and alive

This work adapts to you.

Sometimes it looks like strategy.
Sometimes it looks like reflection.
Sometimes it’s about rebuilding your creative confidence from the roots.

The Roots of This Work

Business Unusual didn’t begin with a business model.
It began with anger tempered with curiosity.

It began with a refusal to keep pretending things were fine with a knowing that the answer lay within.

There was a time when I felt I had to fix the system.
Now I focus on what I can actually shape: the space between us, and the work we make real.

Some of the older writing still carries a sharper tone. I’ve kept it visible—because it tells the truth about where this all started.

But what’s grown now is more grounded, more relational, and more sustainable.

Who This Is For

I work best with people who are curious, experienced, and still open to change.

That often means:

  • Founders or professionals in their 40s or 50s

  • People drawn to AI but sceptical of hype

  • Reflective minds who want to do more than just think

  • Creators who are ready for clarity and momentum—but on their own terms

You don’t need to impress me.
You just need to bring the part of you that’s ready to move.

What I’ve Learned

I used to confuse service with self-sacrifice.
Now I believe good work honours both of us.

I pay attention to systems. To timing. To the feeling behind the question.
And I help you make space to answer it—fully and honestly.
